SmartPower is a United States–based nonprofit focused on energy efficiency and clean energy campaigns to engage residents and businesses. It acts as a conduit, connecting consumers with energy solutions, and operates as a small to mid-sized nonprofit delivering campaigns that influence how people use and invest in clean energy. Founded in 2002 by major private foundations, SmartPower has earned recognition from the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Energy, among others.
SmartPower collaborates with federal, state and local agencies, utilities, and private companies to implement energy campaigns. Its programs have included the Arizona Solar Challenge, launched in 2010, and the Rhode Island Energy Challenge: Find Your Four. A recent development involves a partnership with West Hartford, Connecticut to co-host a Solar+Storage information session on February 6, 2024.
