Established in 1989, Smith Bonds & Surety in the past decade has increased from just one agent to over 40 agents and 4 employees across 3 states. We specialize in all court ordered bonds including bail bonds, guardianship, conservator, probate, construction, bid bonds, employee dishonesty, E&O, Notary, junk dealers, and any other type of contract bond. We are also an insurance education provider for Michigan and Ohio.

Owner, Mary Smith, holds a degree in Paralegal studies from Ashworth College along with licenses in Ohio Surety Bail, Property & Casualty, Health & Life, Variable Annuities, and a nonresident bail license in Michigan. Mary has worked diligently the past 20 years at preserving the industry through speeches to judges and clerk of courts associations, becoming the nations only bail agent teaching CLE's for attorneys, all while maintaining her role as the Secretary of the OBAA.
