The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul Archdiocese of Galveston Houston is dedicated to executing charitable programs through person-to-person service in underserved communities. Our actions are rooted in Gospel values and the pursuit of spiritual growth; our mission is to promote the dignity of our neighbors—alleviating their suffering and distress while addressing the causes through systemic change. Our organization is composed of more than 50 parish-based Chapters, with a total of over 2,000 volunteer members (known as Vincentians) putting their faith into action by serving their community. Our services include disaster relief, home visits to those in need, a network of food pantries, our systemic change initiative (also known as the "Getting Ahead Program"), and more. Follow us to learn about the exciting work we are doing to help change Houston for the better!
