Solidarity Community Federal Credit Union is a member-owned financial cooperative based in Kokomo, Indiana. Its origins date to 1954 when Delco Electronics employees pooled a small weekly sum to help a coworker buy a car, forming a not-for-profit credit union without stockholders. As a member-owned institution, it provides safe, convenient ways to save and to obtain loans at reasonable rates, guided by an all-volunteer board elected by the membership. The structure centers on member ownership rather than external investors, with a core focus on improving the financial well-being of those it serves. Membership is available to individuals and businesses located in Howard, Tipton, Miami, Cass, Carroll, Clinton, and White counties, including family members of existing members or those who live, work, worship, or study in the area. In January 2026, Solidarity launched the Mahalo Banking platform, marking a modernization of its core systems and an enhancement of digital services while preserving secure access to savings and loans.
