SOMArts is a cultural center based in San Francisco that aims to widen access to the arts across the Bay Area by partnering with community-focused artists and organizations. It provides space and production support for nonprofit events, fairs, and festivals while offering a program of exhibitions, classes, events, and performances that are designed to be affordable and accessible. Its exhibition programs receive support from the San Francisco Arts Commission and The San Francisco Foundation, and are supplemented by a grant from Grants for the Arts, linking it to public and philanthropic funding streams. 

The organization occupies a cross-cultural, community-built space where contemporary, experimental programming intersects with traditional art forms, creating an environment open to diverse voices. It functions as an incubator for ideas that lie outside the mainstream of contemporary art funding and consumption. In 2025, SOMArts announced the 26th annual Día de los Muertos exhibition, Día de los Muertos 2025: SOMArts Love You, which is on view from October 11 to November 7, 2025.
