Sons of Norway is an insurance organization organized as a fraternal benefit society, based at 1455 West Lake Street in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The organization employs between 51 and 200 people. It was organized by 18 Norwegian immigrants in Minneapolis on January 16, 1895. Its mission is to promote and preserve the heritage and culture of Norway, foster relations with other Nordic countries, and provide quality insurance and financial products to its members. The Society is described as the largest Norwegian organization outside Norway and offers cultural, fraternal, and educational activities as well as various insurance programs through its field staff.
