SOPHSTONE is a small, independent manufacturing company based in California, founded in 2017 by artist Gil Saul and Brandon Caldwell. It operates as a family-owned boutique manufacturer that crafts objects by hand, emphasizing the human touch and meticulous attention to detail. The brand blends modern design with traditional techniques, seeking a balance between form and function while accepting subtle imperfections as part of craftsmanship.

Its customers are a niche audience that values individuality over trends, seeking unique, well-crafted objects rather than mass-produced items. SOPHSTONE maintains independence to offer flexibility and to incorporate age-old techniques that are less common in a market dominated by global brands. The company positions itself as a boutique, craft-focused producer that emphasizes design, creativity, and a human-centered production process.
