South Central Regional Library Council is a regional library council that leads and advocates for Central New York member libraries with a focus on learning, collaboration, and innovation. It operates as one of nine councils within the Empire State Library Network. Headquartered in Ithaca, New York, SCRLC spans 10,000 square miles and serves 74 member libraries across Allegany, Broome, Cayuga, Chemung, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Otsego, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Tioga, Tompkins, and Yates counties. The council supports a mix of library types—academic, hospital, corporate and nonprofit, public libraries and public library systems, and school library systems—reaching more than 500 libraries in its service area.
