South County Economic Development Council is a regional organization based in Chula Vista, California, within the San Diego area, operating in the international trade and development sector. Its mission is to promote business development, encourage private investment, and advocate for public and private interests on both sides of the US–Mexico border. The council receives funding from multiple local governments and regional partners, including the cities of Chula Vista, Coronado, Imperial Beach, National City and San Diego, the County of San Diego, and the Port of San Diego. In April 2026 the organization took possession of a new Mobile Resource Center, expanding its ability to deliver resources directly to where they are needed. The group also engages in regional events and forums, including an Economic Summit announced for May 1, 2026, and other gatherings that connect local officials and stakeholders involved in regional development.
