Thanks South Florida for the Many Years of Support! Important Operations Update | 2022 ~2023 In 2022, the SFDA ceased fulltime operations, shifting over to adopt a new volunteer led project-by-project model; this, as we continue our efforts to Bridge the Digital Divide in our community, delivering renewed and meaningful purpose and function to aged computers. Please note: At this time, we are not collecting any donations BUT would ask that you please reach out to our key partner eScrap Inc for computer/technology recycling and donations. We would like to thank our community and corporate sponsors, friends, and family, who have generously supported us over this past decade. Everyone should take great pride in the true success of our shared efforts! With sincere thanks to your help, we have successfully refurbished and returned over 4000+ computers back out to Bridge the Digital Divide! -------------------------------- The Historical 'About the SFDA' The South Florida Digital Alliance (SFDA/MDBC) is an unprecedented collaboration among diverse South Florida leaders dedicated to addressing the digital divide in South Florida and deploying next generation broadband technology. Our purpose is to transform our community, close the digital divide, create jobs, increase economic opportunities and reduce operating costs. The SFDA's goal is to construct a robust broadband network that will connect community anchor institutions throughout South Florida and extend broadband services to our underserved communities. This initiative will create efficiencies in the delivery of healthcare, education and government, impact our economy, improve public safety, and create jobs.
