South Taranaki District Council is a local government authority on New Zealand's west coast, providing governance and public services to a district in the Taranaki Region. It is based in Hawera and serves the towns of Hāwera, Manaia, Ōpunake, Eltham, Kaponga, Patea and Waverley. The district covers about 3,575 square kilometers and had a population of around 29,100 as of June 2021.
