Southbound Brewing Company is the first production microbrewery located in Savannah, Georgia. Southbound released our first brew on May 15, 2013, and we aspire to become the most innovating and exciting yet. We want to use our backgrounds, skills, and insights to shed light on the beauty of the craft beer industry to our local community. By bringing the American beer revolution to Savannah's back door, we hope to cater to the tastes of the South by tantalizing your taste buds and keeping things interesting! 

The two founding member's, Smith Mathews and Carly Wiggins have been life long friends. Both attended the Georgia Institute of Technology and have almost ten years of combined industry experience.  Smith also attended the Siebel Institute of Technology, the oldest brewing school in the nation. They journey began early in 2011 as they designed the name, structure, and style of the company and then worked hard to create it.
