Southern Boating Media is proud to produce one of the few remaining privately owned consumer boating publications in the U.S. as well as a host of digital products and award-winning events. 

Southern Boating Magazine was launched in 1972 by Skip Allen, an ardent sailor, yachtsman, and publisher, whose lifelong career was in the marine industry.

Since then, Southern Boating Media group has evolved to produce custom content, events, a multitude of web tools, a library of boating resources, video products, and much more. 

Southern Boating continuously brings the best of the boating lifestyle to our readers. Each issue includes editorial reviews of vessels 30-100 feet; cruising destinations with detailed resources; innovative marine products for you and your boat; groundbreaking electronics and projects for the do-it-yourselfer; interesting interviews; boating events; fresh, onboard recipes, and much more.
