Southern Grampians Shire Council is a regional local government authority in Victoria, based in Hamilton in the Western District. Formed in 1994 through the merger of the Shires of Dundas, Mount Rouse, Wannon and the City of Hamilton, it covers a large rural area spanning 6,655 square kilometres and serves a community of about 16,000. The council administers local governance, planning and community services within the municipality from its Hamilton office. Its customers include residents, local businesses and community groups that rely on local governance and development programs, and it works with regional partners to support wellbeing and resilience. In August 2024, it partnered with Live4Life to promote a health and wellbeing program, illustrating its engagement in community initiatives.
