Headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas, Southern Legacy of Life was founded in 1987 as the Arkansas Regional Organ Recovery Agency (ARORA) under the National Organ Transplant Act. The 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit serves 64 counties in Arkansas representing nearly 3 million people. The organization changed its name to Southern Legacy of Life in 2025 to better reflect its mission of restoring lives.
