Southern Nuclear, based in Birmingham, Alabama, operates eight nuclear units for Alabama Power and Georgia Power. The plants are located at three sites: Farley near Dothan, Alabama; Hatch near Baxley, Georgia; and Vogtle near Waynesboro, Georgia.
