On 26 July 2015, Gatwick Express and Southern joined Great Northern and Thameslink to operate under one company, Govia Thameslink Railway. Southern is a very successful rail franchise operator, providing train services for commuters, airport users, business and leisure travellers in south London, between central London and the South coast, through East and West Sussex, Surrey and parts of Kent and Hampshire. Our network is one of the busiest in the country. Southern manages 155 stations. Our two principal London stations are London Victoria and London Bridge (managed by Network Rail). We operate a fleet of around 252 trains seven days a week across 414 miles of track and up to 24 hours a day. Each weekday, we provide 1,700 services while on Saturdays we provide 1,563 and 1,040 on Sundays.
