SparingVision is a biotechnology research company focused on genomic medicines for ocular diseases. It traces its origins to more than two decades of ophthalmic research conducted at the Paris Vision Institute and seeks to move beyond single-gene correction therapies by pursuing gene-independent approaches for rod-cone dystrophies. Its lead candidates, SPVN06 and SPVN20, target mid- and late-stage retinitis pigmentosa, the most common inherited retinal disease, which affects about two million people worldwide. These programs are designed to have applicability across retinal diseases beyond a single genetic cause. 

Based in Paris, the Île-de-France region, the company is supported by a team with international recognition in its field. In June 2025, SparingVision appointed Dr. Kali Stasi as Chief Medical Officer, as it accelerates development of its gene-therapy programs and plans to initiate up to three pivotal studies in 2027.
