Having been in business nearly 50 years, Spartan has expertise in micro-finishing and polishing metals, glass, ceramics, silicon and crystals to precise tolerances. Example industries where polishing is critical include silicon wafers for microprocessors and semiconductors; lenses for optical products, medical implants, dental appliances, watches and precious metals, and precision metal to metal seals found in fluid and gas handling valves and fittings. In addition, Spartan supplies fluid transfer products such as used in aircraft, and ink or paint wick products for writing instruments. Spartan Felt supports many fabricators who supply the US military, Aerospace, and the Department of Defense.
