Speak About It is a Portland, Maine-based non-profit focused on consent education and sexual assault prevention. The organization uses theater and facilitated dialogue to engage high school and college students nationwide, helping them explore consent, healthy sexuality, and relationships while examining how identity and power relate to interpersonal violence. Founded in 2010, it has reached more than 450,000 students with its programming. Its flagship offering is a 60-minute show presented to schools and campuses, complemented by dialogue-based workshops on topics such as bystander intervention, gender and sexuality, and a program for parents. Speak About It also participates in broader initiatives through Heart of Hospitality, a local coalition aimed at training hospitality personnel to foster safer spaces and bystander responses. The organization maintains a small core staff supported by more than twenty educators and actors annually and produces online material through its website and social media.
