Speyside Cooperage Ky, Inc. is a small to mid-sized company in the paper and forest product manufacturing sector, based in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. It operates as part of the Speyside Cooperage network, a historic cooperage with roots in Scotland that maintains branches in Kentucky and Ohio. The broader business dates back to 1947 and has undergone ownership changes, including a 2008 acquisition by a French firm, while continuing to produce and repair oak casks using traditional methods. The operation serves distilleries by supplying and refurbishing oak casks, drawing on American oak and long-standing craftsmanship, for customers in Scotland and internationally. Each year, the facility handles a substantial volume of casks, reflecting its role in supporting the whisky industry through cask production and maintenance.
