It's the world's only lumbar spinal brace to use inflatable vertical air chambers to create spinal decompression. Once adorned the user inflates the device via a detachable hand air pump causing it to elongate. As it lifts the brace lodges under the ribcage and presses downward against the spinal girdle displacing gravitational pressure within the affected area. The resulting "decompression" provides an improved environment for bulging or herniated discs to reshape and heal. Because the SR 500 is a non-constrictive brace, healthy movement and flexibility are possible minimizing atrophy. The SR 500 is also perfect for aid in healing of ripped tendons and muscles as well as relief from chronic pain caused by arthritis, stenosis, facet joint hypertrophy, sciatica and surgery. Included ridged panels allow for restrictive applications and can be removed once patient healing progresses thus avoiding the need for purchasing a second belt.
