Spira was founded by George Kunkel, an EMI/EMC design engineer, who was frustrated with the problems he encountered with EMI gaskets that were commercially available for EMI/RFI shielding applications. To best address his and the industry's needs, he designed and patented the spiral EMI gasket and developed a whole family of exceptional EMI products.
