Spires has been working with homeless and disadvantaged people in Streatham, South London, since 1990. We work with over 800 vulnerable men and women a year, to support them to move towards greater stability and independence.  

Our vision is to provide the best guidance and support we can to those in need. We want our users to be encouraged and take advantage of the opportunities we offer. Many of our service users are homeless, have insecure accommodation or are facing complex issues such as long-term unemployment, poor mental & physical health or are dealing with substance abuse. We offer our advice and support, highlighting the steps they should take to turn their lives around and provide them with hope of a new beginning.  

Spires offers a range of services which aim to help inspire vulnerable people to address the issues they are facing and work with us to overcoming them.  

• Our housing and homelessness space supports clients to gain and maintain stable accommodation through the provision of targeted key working at the centre. The service also provides warm food and drinks in the mornings.   

• Our Specialist Women’s Service allows our staff to engage with women at risk and address issues they are facing regarding their health, safety and well-being.   

• Our Spires Streetlink service provides support to people engaged in street-based sex work in South London. This service is delivered through nigh time outreach with the offer of further support at the centre.   

• Our Integrated Welfare Advice Service works in partnership with SLAM to support psychiatric inpatients and offers ongoing support at the point of discharge
