Spirit Hound Distillers is a small, Lyons-based craft distillery that produces gins, vodkas, and other clear spirits, with its first single malt whisky aging in progress. The venture grew from a group of local enthusiasts who repurposed an old motorcycle shop into a working distillery and began distilling in Lyons around 2012. Its products are crafted using Rocky Mountain snowmelt and locally sourced botanicals, such as wild juniper berries from nearby river basins, yielding a portfolio of roughly fourteen varieties.

Over the years, Spirit Hound has earned London Spirits Competition awards in 2022 and 2024. The company expanded its Colorado presence with a Denver tasting room in 2023 and launched a Sherry Cask American Single Malt Whisky in 2025.
