Sprouting Leaders is a volunteer-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our mission is to promote continuous academic growth and personal development among youth in some of Chicago’s most disadvantaged communities. Through mentorship, education, and service we transform our youth to become leaders within their communities. Our vision is to have a community where youth from all backgrounds, regardless of socioeconomic status, are offered an equal opportunity to learn, lead and thrive. 

While a relatively young organization, Sprouting Leaders has reinforced the effectiveness of bringing mentorship and guidance directly to the classroom. The organization successfully pairs mentors and children to establish a lasting relationship focused on academic achievement and community service.
