In 1872, our founding sisters began their ministry of healing with just $5 and a basket to collect donations and carry medical supplies to serve those in need. Today, more than 150 years later, the SSM Health Foundation - St. Louis carries on their legacy of courage and compassion through philanthropy to support our SSM Health hospitals, health care workers, and patients.

We are honored to courageously serve to facilitate the common good. We help meet the needs of our community by raising awareness and financial support for various medical outreach and advancement programs throughout the St. Louis, St. Charles, and Metro East regions of Missouri, including highly innovative patient-centered programs for women’s health, oncology, behavioral health, education and training, and improvements for our SSM Health hospitals in the region.
