Founded by two Aussie backpackers in 1979, we started with mullets and a mission, to create affordable adventures for awesome humans. 

While the global STA Travel network ceased operations in 2020, our Japanese arm thrives today as STA Travel Japan. From offices in Tokyo and Osaka, we continue the legacy by empowering young Japanese travelers, students, adventurers, and dreamers, with study abroad programs, language courses, affordable flights, international tours, and experiences that blend education, culture, and excitement.

We believe crossing borders breaks down barriers, changes perspectives, and brings people and cultures closer together. We also believe travel offers one of the happiest careers in the world.

With every trip and every traveler, we keep learning and growing. That's why we need more brilliant people to share our passion and join us on this journey in Japan.
