Standard Register Federal Credit Union (SRFCU) is a full-service financial institution in Dayton, Ohio, with the mission to enable our members to achieve financial stability and security through the use of member-focused products and services. 

Standard Register Federal Credit Union was founded on May 19, 1936 as the Kant-Slip Federal Credit Union.  The name reflected Standard Register Company's dedication to producing quality business forms which "can't slip" when used.  At that time, some Standard Register Company employees decided to create a financial cooperative that would reward thrift and emphasize service rather than profits. 

Those charter members envisioned a place where ordinary citizens could borrow money at a reasonable rate. Thus, the first members quickly discovered that they could obtain loans at their Credit Union at rates far below those of the notorious "loan sharks" of the day.  Similarly, those eligible could become members with a beginning deposit of only 25 cents.
  
Initially, the Credit Union was located in an office of what is now Building #1 at the Standard Register Complex. The total net income during the Credit Union's first year of operation was $2.73.

As the Credit Union grew over the years, many things changed:
*The name Kant-Slip was abandoned in favor of our current name of Standard Register Federal Credit Union.
*Our physical space has gone from an office at corporate headquarters to a separate building with over 7,000 square feet.
*Our assets have grown to over $45 million.

Yet one thing hasn't changed-- our dedication to member service .  We still strive to put people before profits, and will continue to do so for at least 75 more years.
