The Stanislaus County Fair operates as a regional event organizer and offers year-round fairground facilities in Turlock, Stanislaus County. Each mid-July it hosts the Stanislaus County Fair, the county's largest event, which runs for ten days. The fair features three live music venues and about 26,000 exhibits showcasing local livestock, produce, and products. Beyond the annual fair, the facilities are used year-round to host events large and small, serving organizers and the surrounding community. In 2020 the fair was recognized by IAFE as one of the Top 100 Fairs in the nation. A notable recent development was the departure of long-time chief executive Matt Cranford in 2022, after more than seven years, as he moved to oversee facility operations at California Exposition and State Fair.
