The Steam Railroading Institute is a railroad preservation, historical, and educational organization located at 405 South Washington Street in Owosso, Michigan, United States. SRI is the home of the steam locomotive, Pere Marquette 1225, which was featured in the 2004 movie, "The Polar Express". SRI is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, donations to which are tax-deductible. Museum hours are Friday and Saturday, 10:00 am until 3:00 pm. Admission is $5. Guided tours are offered.
