The Stennis Center for Public Service is a bipartisan legislative branch agency created by Congress in 1988 to promote and strengthen the ideals of public service in America. It is based in Starkville, Mississippi, and operates within the legislative offices sector. The center develops and delivers a portfolio of programs for young people, leaders in local, state, and federal government, and congressional staff. In 2020 it launched Public Service Review to provide a forum for young leaders to share their inspirations and experiences as interns and volunteers in public service and to prepare for careers in the field. The organization maintains a small to mid-sized staff and its work centers on leadership development and public service engagement across government levels.
