Step by Step brings hope and health to low income and at-risk pregnant women by providing the resources and support they need to deliver a healthy baby, embrace positive parenting, and establish a safe home. We help each mom put her best foot forward, encouraging each positive step towards establishing a stable and healthy home for herself and her baby.

Established in 1997, Step by Step has grown from the dream and vision of its dedicated founder into a multi-faceted organization operating with a team of 27 trained professional nurses, dieticians and counselors. Step by Step has expanded its annual reach from less than 100 clients in its first year to more than 1,400 clients today.

Our programs include in-home professional visits, transitional housing and homeless prevention, mentoring and life skills education, and more.

Our Mission is to transform the lives of at-risk pregnant women, so they will deliver a healthy baby, embrace positive parenting, and establish a safe home. Our Vision is to help every pregnant woman to see her pregnancy as a catalyst for positive change. By building on her strengths, she will: choose health, see hope for her future, and give back to her family and community.
