StormTree believes that healthy trees and stormwater management can coexist, starting from the roots up. We also strongly believe that you can’t grow a tree in a closed box.

StormTree provides innovative, green infrastructure solutions for the urban environment by combining plant systems with stormwater runoff reduction and pollutant removal. Our systems serve the dual function of providing healthy and thriving trees, coupled with stormwater management.

StormTree provides conventional closed box systems and its unique “open design” which allows for unobstructed root growth allowing for healthy and maturing tree development to enhance the urban forestry canopy. 
Complete turnkey systems come in several dimensions and typically include pretreatment features such as interior sumps or attached catch basins to collect and segregate sand and debris for ease of maintenance.  Systems can be easily configured to receive stormwater via curb inlet, subsurface direct-pipe connection, or roof drains. 


We provide green infrastructure solutions for the “built environment” by combining plant systems with stormwater runoff reduction and pollutant removal. StormTree systems perform (serve) the dual function of providing healthy and thriving trees, coupled with stormwater management.
