SRPC is a regional planning agency focusing on coordinating land use, transportation, and related planning activities in the Strafford region of New Hampshire. Based in Rochester, it operates as a political subdivision of the state and serves as an advisory body to local governments and organizations. The commission's remit encompasses eighteen communities, including all thirteen municipalities in Strafford County, plus three communities in Rockingham County and two in Carroll County. A professional planning staff aids local governments with land use, transportation, environmental planning, economic development, support services, and project management to address regional concerns. In 2022, SRPC partnered with the Great Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve and NH Sea Grant to host a Resilient Shoreline Tour at sites in Dover, Durham, and Newmarket.
