Strathbogie Shire is a vibrant and diverse rural community in Victoria, Australia with a population of more than 11,500 people across our townships of Avenel, Euroa, Graytown, Longwood, Nagambie, Ruffy, Strathbogie and Violet as well as our rural communities. Located perfectly in the heart of country Victoria, the Strathbogie Shire is a short drive north of the Melbourne CBD on both the Hume Freeway and Goulburn Valley Highway. We have rivers and ranges at our doorstep and our charming villages offer both a breathtaking landscape and world famous local produce. With one of the largest road networks of any shire in regional Victoria, our boundaries take in over 330,000 hectares of land.
