We are a small, boutique lighting design firm with diverse, talented and award-winning designers, experienced in all facets of lighting design and market sectors.

Our work includes commercial, corporate, retail and mixed-use developments; hotels, resorts, restaurants and casinos; museums and cultural centers; library, healthcare, educational and civic facilities. 

We are the lighting studio. But we are not out there by ourselves. StudioK1 is the lighting design studio within tk1sc - one of the largest engineering firms in Southern California, and a company that has been thriving and growing since 1979, with offices in Los Angeles, Irvine, San Diego, San Jose, Riverside and our newest office in Seattle, Washington. When a project demands more than lighting design, we can offer unique, cross-discipline teams for sustainable buildings and exterior spaces.

We provide the level of design quality expected from a boutique lighting firm but with resource scalability afforded by our large parent company, tk1sc. Should a project require more than lighting design we can provide a unique cross-discipline engineering approach, making the project more creative, innovative and sustainable.
