Stuff Etc operates a consignment retail model that seeks to maximize returns for consignors while offering buyers quality items at a lower cost. The company treats consignors and buyers as customers, shaping its operations around achieving overall customer satisfaction. Based in Coralville, Iowa, it sits within the broader retail sector, connecting individuals looking to sell with those seeking affordable pre-owned merchandise.

It positions itself as a facilitator of sustainable shopping, extending the life of goods through consignment and focusing on value and accessibility for shoppers. The approach provides a straightforward pathway for people to monetize items and for buyers to acquire well-priced goods. A recent development is the launch of a four-day Iowa give-back drive to mark its 41st anniversary.
