Suhm Spring Works is a leading manufacturer of stored-energy components used in some of the world’s most challenging environments.  Founded in 1885, Suhm has been committed to quality and excellence for over 135 years.  Our company specializes in making custom springs from exotic metal alloys for use in the oil and gas, power generation, nuclear, aerospace, and many other industries.  All springs are made to order from a vast inventory of material to permit short lead times.  We have manufacturing facilities in Houston, TX and Dallas, TX.

Suhm leverages decades of experience when working with customers to develop bespoke solutions.  Our designs are found in some of the world’s most critical applications including: safety valves, subsea actuators, power generation equipment, and nuclear applications.   Our designers are equipped with state-of-the-art design software including finite element analysis to provide additional consultation on complex applications.

Suhm’s commitment to excellence is exemplified by our quality program.  We are ISO 9001:2015 certified, nuclear certified, and have in-house nondestructive testing capabilities.  We are also capable of performing cycle tests on large spring assemblies that produce loads up to 150,000 pounds.

Suhm is an agile business built to satisfy our diverse client base.  We offer variety in our product offerings, short lead times, exotic alloys, design consultation, quality assurance, and supply chain programs.  We manufacture: helical compression/extension springs with wire sizes from 0.005 to 4.000 inches, Belleville washers, torsion springs, flat/bow/leaf springs, snap rings, metal spinning, stampings, and coiled/shaped tubing.
