Being out of our comfort zones can put us in better positions to hear and respond to God. Here at Summit Adventure, we use adventure programming, service, and cross-cultural immersion as tools to move individuals and groups out of their comfort zones into more reliance upon God and each other. Since 1971, participants have told us that their experiences have been truly transformational, whether domestically in Yosemite, Joshua Tree, and Death Valley or internationally in Ecuador, Mexico, and Israel/Palestine. Summit participants include a wide range of people. A few of the groups we work with are youth (age 12+), college students, parents, adults, and individuals with physical and mental disabilities. Although every course is different, typical course components include backpacking, climbing, mountaineering, rappelling, orienteering, trekking, cultural immersion, and service.
