Summit Preparatory Charter High School opened its doors in 2003 in Redwood City and quickly earned a reputation as one of the best public high schools in the nation, according to national rankings by Newsweek and US News & World Report. Summit’s academic approach has led to an impressive track record of success and was featured in the award-winning documentary, Waiting for Superman. Since its inception in 2003, nearly 100 percent of students from Summit’s graduates were admitted to four-year colleges and universities.
