SSI manufactures MRI and NMR systems that require ZERO cryogens. The magnets are superconducting and persistent with high stability and homogeneity, at fields up to 9.4T providing superior performance.
Cryogen-free systems are much smaller, much cheaper to run and produce substantially less carbon than liquid helium magnets. They are even cheaper and greener than helium recovery systems.
The magnet runs on electricity. The user can turn the magnet on and off when they wish, move the magnet anytime and NEVER have to worry about a quench. The magnet can be put in hibernation mode to conserve energy and then ramp back up in 30 minutes.
The short NMR magnet does not need any stairs or ladder to reach the sample.
We offer standard and wide bore magnets as a replacement to an existing magnet, compatible with almost any components, or as a full system with partner suppliers for electronics.
