Superpedestrian is a Cambridge, Massachusetts-based transportation robotics company that originated from MIT in 2013. It develops technologies for micro-electric vehicles aimed at improving safety, reliability, and performance, and has built a Vehicle Intelligence System that first appeared with a consumer device known as the Copenhagen Wheel. Since 2018 the company has focused on engineering an electric scooter designed for shared fleets, and it introduced vehicles under the LINK brand in 2020.

The VIS platform enables fleet scooters to detect and address more than 100 common malfunctions, functioning at high speed to prevent issues such as battery fires, short circuits, and brake failures. When problems cannot be resolved automatically, a scooter becomes unavailable for rental and a detailed service ticket is generated to support repairs, contributing to safer rides and reduced fleet downtime. In 2023 the company expanded its micro-mobility footprint by acquiring Zagster's scooter business and launching a dedicated LINK division, reflecting its focus on integrating e-scooters with public and private mobility programs.
