The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) is a government-backed organization established in 2011 by the State of Qatar to oversee the delivery of required infrastructure and the host-country planning and operations for Qatar’s 2022 FIFA World Cup. In partnership with the Qatar 2022 Local Organising Committee, it coordinates the construction and preparation of stadiums, non-competition venues, and related facilities to support a compact, connected tournament with sustainability and accessibility at its core. The committee emphasizes security and a human-centered fan experience during the event, and aims for the post-tournament facilities to become active components of community life, contributing to a lasting legacy. Beyond event delivery, the SC advances social, economic, and environmental development through programs such as Generation Amazing, Challenge 22, Workers’ Welfare, and Community Engagement, as well as the Josoor Institute. Through these initiatives, football is used as a vehicle to stimulate development across Qatar, the region, and Asia. Based in Doha, ad Dawḩah, Qatar, the organization operates within the spectator sports industry and serves as a planning and delivery authority for a major international event with ongoing legacy objectives.
