We began operations in 1992 as a single distribution company known as Advanced Surgi-Pharm Inc. (ASP). By having a direct sales team, ASP provides effective nationwide Canadian coverage and represents national and international medical device manufacturers.

Batrik Medical Manufacturing Inc. was launched in 1997, specializing in the fabrication of silicone and plastic products used in cardiovascular surgery and central sterile departments. These products are manufactured in our onsite, HEPA-filtered production facility. Batrik immediately set itself apart with its ability to offer product customization and soon its marketing reach was extending well beyond North America. Batrik's products are now sold on an international level through a network of established dealers in 74 countries.

In 1998, the opportunity arose to acquire Imperial Surgical Ltd (ISL), which proved to be a wonderful addition and provided exposure to a larger market. Imperial Surgical Ltd. carries an excellent reputation and legacy which dates back to 1935, making it one of Canada’s oldest hospital capital equipment manufacturers. It is well-known as a manufacturer of stainless steel products that are found in the following departments: operating room, examination and treatment, sterile processing, patient handling, and mortuary/pathology. Unlike other stainless steel manufacturers, Imperial Surgical Ltd. dedicates 100% of their products and expertise to the healthcare market.
