It's more than just an eye exam... A routine eye exam for all ages, on a yearly basis, is strongly recommended. The testing of children's vision is especially important. We recommend regular examinations at six months, two years of age, and before starting school to monitor their development. We want to assure clear vision and early detection of conditions which may adversely affect learning. Adults require yearly examinations to monitor for ocular conditions such as: cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and other age related diseases. It is especially important for people with diabetes to have yearly eye examinations, as diabetes is one of the leading causes of blindness.
