Our mission is to rapidly advance a sustainable future. We do this by convening, coaching, and empowering three communities of practice including youth, teachers, and community stakeholders. We facilitate a year-round Youth Leadership Development Program training students in the IP3 Strategy: (1) impact project design, (2) impact data tracking, and (3) impact storytelling. Skilled Ambassadors facilitate peer-to-peer trainings on the IP3 Strategy and take the lead on reporting aggregate impact data to key community stakeholders from parents to policymakers. In addition to supporting middle school and high school youth, we have built partnerships with college academic intern programs at the University of Washington, Western Washington University, Seattle University, and Cascadia College. We inspire dreams through Green Jobs Youth Pathways. Through our Teacher Fellows Program, we support several cohorts of teacher leaders in developing problem-based, place-based learning experiences that meet academic standards in context of measurably advancing the goals of city climate action, climate justice, and workforce development plans. We see these local plans as a living textbook for teaching all subjects. Our pedagogical practices follow the principles of Educating for Sustainability. We invite you to join our City/Classroom Climate Action Plan Coalition. As “Ambassadors” we move between generations, jurisdictions and community sectors. We are positive, persistent, persuasive advocates for the strongest possible sustainability policies, performance measures, and implementation plans from city council to school board. It’s working. We are rapidly advancing a sustainable future.
