Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) is a non-profit international organization that collaborates with the United Nations, governments, the private sector, financial institutions, civil society, and philanthropies to accelerate action toward SDG 7, aiming for access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all by 2030 in line with the Paris Agreement. Headquartered in Vienna and with a satellite office in Washington, DC, SEforALL coordinates cross-sector efforts to advance a clean energy transition. The initiative was launched in 2011 by former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and has since evolved into an independent organization. Its leadership is headed by CEO Damilola Ogunbiyi, who also serves as the UN Secretary-General's Special Representative for Sustainable Energy for All and Co-Chair of UN-Energy, with governance provided by the SEforALL Administrative Board. A recent development includes the launch of a technical assistance program under the Africa Energy Sector Technical Assistance Program (AESTAP-Mission 300 Phase I) in support of Mission 300, an effort by the African Development Bank Group and the World Bank Group to expand electricity access in sub-Saharan Africa.
