Svensk Handel, or the Swedish Trade Federation, is a civic and social organization based in Stockholm that represents the interests of Sweden's retail and wholesale sectors. Its network comprises 13,000 member businesses, representing roughly 23,000 workplaces and about 300,000 people involved in retail and wholesale commerce, including import/export, mail order, and e-commerce. The federation aims to ease day-to-day operations and improve profitability for its members by advocating for a free economy and favorable business conditions. Svensk Handel provides a range of member services, including legal support in employment and international contract law, assistance against crime affecting commerce, market information and analysis, and training and consulting. It also facilitates banking connections and other resources to support member operations. In labor relations, the federation negotiates with unions to secure collective agreements, and it stands as the largest member organization within Svenskt Näringsliv, the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise.
