Who we are: SVP Chicago’s approach draws from philanthropy’s origins — investing connections, money and skills-based volunteerism — to help the community-based nonprofits we serve create greater impact in their South and West Side neighborhoods.

While we draw on philanthropy’s origins, we’re also filling gaps traditional philanthropy often leaves behind. That means intentionally partnering with nonprofits led by individuals with a strong connection to the issues they’re tackling.

What we do: SVP Chicago empowers philanthropists and community-based nonprofits to create greater impact, together. We help philanthropists develop and achieve their impact goals informed by collaborations with nonprofit leaders and SVP learning opportunities. Our partners leverage their experience and networks to support nonprofit leaders with thought partnership, coaching, and hands on capacity building support.
